ProfiLED ships with a Powered LEC3 XLR controller that has its own power supply built in. Play from the SD card with no computer on site, take DMX from a lighting desk, receive Art-Net over the network, or drive the bars live from the software.

The Controller

One box, power included

The Powered LEC3 XLR that comes with a ProfiLED system combines the controller and its power supply in a single housing, so a rig needs one device rather than a controller plus a separate supply.

It drives up to 10 bars daisy-chained from one output, which is the full 10 meter run described on the ProfiLED page.

Choosing a Path

Which control path fits the job

A permanent installation usually runs stand-alone from the SD card, because nothing on site then has to be switched on or maintained. A touring rig more often takes DMX from the desk that already runs every other fixture.

Art-Net suits setups where media servers or mapping software already send pixel data over the network. Live control from LED Strip Studio is the path used while the content is being designed.

Multiple Control Options questions
