A single LEC3 or SPI Matrix can drive up to 4096 RGB (3072 RGBW) pixels — roughly 24 Art-Net universes' worth of data — while Reactivo 2 and the PSL2 handle up to 1024 RGB (768 RGBW) pixels, around 6 universes, from one unit.
This depends on which controller you’re using:
- LEC3 and SPI Matrix — up to 4096 RGB or 3072 RGBW pixels from a single unit.
- Reactivo 2 and Powered SPI LED Controller 2 (PSL2) — up to 1024 RGB or 768 RGBW pixels from a single unit.
To translate pixel counts into Art-Net universes: one universe carries 512 DMX channels, and each RGB pixel uses 3 channels (4 for RGBW), so a single universe holds 170 RGB pixels or 128 RGBW pixels. That puts LEC3/SPI Matrix at roughly 24 universes’ worth of pixel data per unit, and Reactivo 2/PSL2 at roughly 6 universes’ worth.
