A ProfiLED bar is a sealed black anodized aluminium profile rated IP68, running from minus 20 to 65 degrees Celsius at up to 80 percent relative humidity. The same fixture goes into a club, onto a facade or out into the rain.

What IP68 covers
The first digit of an IP rating covers solids and the second covers water. A 6 means the body is fully sealed against dust. An 8 means it withstands continuous immersion, which is the highest rating in normal use.
For a ProfiLED bar that means rain, spray, dust and fog machines are not a design problem. The connectors are 4-pin M12 push-lock, so the joints between bars are part of the sealed system rather than a weak point.

Temperature, humidity and handling
The bar operates from minus 20 to 65 degrees Celsius and stores from minus 30 to 85, at 5 to 80 percent relative humidity without condensation. That covers a winter facade and a hot summer stage on the same specification sheet.
Each bar weighs one kilogram, so a ten bar system is ten kilograms of fixtures plus the controller. That is light enough to rig by hand and to move between jobs in a single case.
