Eurovision Song Contest has become an extremely popular Contest in entire Europe, and after the year 2017, the popularity skyrocketed all around the world (with estimated audience of over 200 million people). Our partner from Portugal, Pixel Light, was well prepared and build one of the most important parts of the final stage.
I mentioned just the most important parts of the whole project, but if you would like to know more, please read our blog post about this LED application.
Probably the biggest challenge was that we needed to upgrade the black magic grabber feature on the side of LSS software. Our developers were working hard, they spend 2 weeks hard at work on the software changes, but after these 2 weeks, we are now able to play effects from the grabber over LSS software with 60 FPS, which is perfect if we consider the overall number of LEDs used. We proved that we have a strong developer team ?.
Second important thing is that almost half of the installation was running over Art-Net (GrandMa control system) and the second half then ran over our LED Strip Studio protocol. LED Strip Studio again proved that it is also strong enough for a big project.
For us, the third most important thing is that guys from Pixel Light understood LSS software very quickly. They learned all the necessary features right away and was able to run and set everything almost without our help.
