We are not even aware about the many places that are illuminated by them. Today, LEDs are probably the most common light sources, except fire, all around the globe. Where ever you have dark corners that lack natural light, LED is the best option. Its low power consumption and long service life makes it ideal for natural-like light in kitchens, closets or places underneath the ground. In bars, night clubs and also TV studios, LEDs provide funky atmosphere. The most common type is analog LED strip.
They also found its way onto dance floor, with performers dressed in costumes with almost 400 single LEDs flashing, and even more – synchronized with music!
What is RGB Analog LED Strip?
Today we will introduce RGB analog LED strip, where RGB stands for Red, Green and Blue. As explained in our short video, we mix these three basic colors to produce light of any desired shade, but most importantly, we need a power source of certaing voltage for our strip to work. Usually we need 12V or 24V. Because you can injure yourself or somone else, be sure to always doublecheck what voltage your strip needs, as you can damage the strip by using wrong one.
Different shapes and colors
Light produced can be either single or multicolor. More advanced digital strips can produce certain color for each LED on the strip, but about that next time.
Besides that there is standalone category – LED lights. One of the main advantages of LED is its size. You can buy LED modules that are shaped as a light bulb or as a long, semi-transparent tube. The number of LEDs per meter is very variable, as seen on the picture below.
